Key benefits

  • Potent Root Promotion NAA strongly stimulates the formation of adventitious roots, significantly boosting rooting rates for cuttings and survival rates after transplanting.
  • Dual-Action Regulation At low concentrations, it effectively preserves flowers and fruit, whereas at high concentrations, it acts as an agent for flower and fruit thinning.
  • Fruit Enlargement and Ripening It significantly promotes fruit cell expansion; while accelerating fruit enlargement and improving quality, it also effectively regulates the crop's ripening period.

Suggested dosage & application

For formulators

TC grade; formulate into SL/SP. NAA 98% TC is soluble in ethanol or acetone but poorly soluble in water — for direct water solubility, formulators prefer the sodium salt (NAA-Na). NAA is highly stable under light and heat; keep a neutral to slightly alkaline pH when using NAA-Na. Every shipment includes a batch COA.

For direct field use

Cutting propagation: soak 10–50 mg/L for 2–12 hours, or quick-dip 500–1,000 mg/L for 5 seconds. Pre-harvest drop control: 10–20 mg/L, 14–21 days before harvest. Fruit thinning: 5–15 mg/L, 1–2 weeks after bloom. General foliar rate: 5–20 mg/L.

Frequently asked questions

01What is the CAS number of 1-naphthylacetic acid (NAA)?

NAA has CAS number 86-87-3. We supply 98% technical grade (TC) powder with a batch COA for every shipment.

02What does NAA do, and at what rates is it used?

NAA is a broad-spectrum auxin-type PGR. It promotes adventitious root formation on cuttings (soak 10–50 mg/L for 2–12 hours, or quick-dip 500–1000 mg/L for 5 seconds); at low concentration it prevents pre-harvest fruit drop (10–20 mg/L, 14–21 days before harvest); at higher concentration it thins excess fruit (5–15 mg/L, 1–2 weeks post-bloom). General foliar rate: 5–20 mg/L.

03Is this a ready-to-use product or a technical-grade material?

It is a TC grade for formulators; formulate into SL/SP. NAA 98% TC is soluble in ethanol or acetone but poorly soluble in water — for direct water solubility, formulators prefer the sodium salt (NAA-Na). NAA is highly stable under light and heat; keep a neutral to slightly alkaline pH when using NAA-Na.

04Can NAA be blended with other PGRs?

Yes. NAA is universally co-formulated with IAA or IBA (typically 1:1 or 2:1 ratios) to create premium commercial rooting products.

05What is the MOQ, lead time and shelf life?

MOQ is 25kg. Typical lead time is about 10 working days to Shanghai port; OEM packaging and batch COA are available. Shelf life is 24 months in the original sealed packaging.
